I am a linguist and historian by profession (I graduated from the Faculty of Oriental Studies at the University of Warsaw and from Oxford University where I also studied at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem for two years) and a traveler by avocation, fascinated by intercultural differences, indigenous traditions and local cuisine. On a daily basis I manage training and consulting projects. I have completed a course for Tour Operators. As a translator, I have written chapters on Guatemala and Honduras for the Polish version of Lonely Planet's guide to Central America.  I speak English, Spanish and Hebrew.

Everywhere I go, not only the monuments and natural wonders are important to me, but most of all people and their stories. For years I have been in love with the Caribbean, Latin America and the Middle East. My fascination with Hispanic culture actually began in my childhood: living in New York City in the 1980s, I made my first Hispanic friends, where I learned my first Spanish words and phrases at school. Then, I visited Spain many times (the closest place with an almost Hispanic climate), and even now I return there with unflagging fascination to Cuba and Guatemala, Honduras and Mexico, where, apart from history, archaeology and Mayan rituals, since my first visit I have been fascinated by nature (the country of eternal spring), majestic volcanoes and unique views.
