As a Istanbul tour guide you will be shown the attractions of Istanbul

  • Theodosius' walls. Theodosius pushed the walls very far away from the previous fortifications and expanded the city. His work must have been awe-inspiring, especially to his enemies. Eleven gates, 192 towers and the wall itself, or rather its two lines stretched for 6.5 kilometers from the Sea of Marmara to the Golden Horn. Thanks to them, the city successfully repelled sieges for centuries to come.
  • Archaeological Museum. If you are a fan of history and archaeology, spend a few hours at the Archaeological Museum. In the museum, you'll find such treasures as the royal Sarcophagus of Alexander, which came from Sidon in Lebanon and dates to the 4th century BC, a rich collection of pottery and jewelry from ancient Cyprus, tablets written in Hittite script, including the Treaty of Kadesh - the oldest known peace treaty in the world.
  • Mosaic Museum. After visiting the Sultan's palace, you can take a little breather and return to Byzantine art. If, like us, you enjoy looking at mosaics, don't miss the Mosaic Museum. It's a tiny museum where, by the way, you will not only see beautiful examples of Byzantine decorative art, but also learn how they are restored. You will find the Mosaic Museum below the Blue Mosque in the Arasta Bazaar.
  • Blue Mosque (Sultan Ahmet Cami). Built in the 17th century on the orders of Sultan Ahmed I, it was intended to overshadow the Hagia Sophia. Wanting to be forgiven by Allah for his bad conduct during his youth (construction began when the sultan was 19, so he misbehaved somehow probably in elementary school;), he insisted that everything in the temple be the most.
  • Suleiman Mosque. This is the work of the most famous Ottoman architect - Mimar Sinan. Sinan was born Joseph to a Christian family in Anatolia. At the age of 19, as a result of a takeover, he was sent to the Sultan's court.
  • Hagia Sophia Mosque (Aya Sofya). Beautiful mosaics, frescoes, decorations, the architecture of this magnificent temple will stay in your memory for a long time. Once called the Church of Divine Wisdom, it was the highest-ranking temple in the Byzantine Empire.
  • Tiles in the Rüstem Paşa mosque
  • Topkapı Palace (Topkapı Sarayı). Topkapi is a must-visit in Istanbul and you must go there if you have never been before. Topkapi is a gem of Ottoman architecture. A 16th century palace laid out in four courtyards, a harem, rich collections of weapons, views from the palace terraces....
  • Construction of the Byzantine hippodrome began in 203. The only surviving element from this period is an obelisk dating from the 15th century BC, and brought from Egypt by Emperor Theodosius in 390.
  • Galata Tower. The tower was built by the Genoese in 1384 and is 63 meters high (67 meters counting the dome).
  • Taksim Square, is the heart of modern Istanbul. There you will find many hotels, stores and restaurants. Well, and it is the gateway to Isitklal Street.
  • The Grand Bazaar (Kapalı Çarşı). Istanbul bazaars. There are many bazaars in Istanbul, there is the Egyptian Bazaar also known as the Spice Bazaar or Spice Bazaar, there is the Arasta Bazaar below the Blue Mosque, there are dozens if not hundreds of smaller marketplaces, but the ability to bargain will be most useful to you at the largest one - the Grand Bazaar.
  • Basilica Cistern Underground (Yerebatan Sarnıçı). If you only have one day in Istanbul, put the Cistern at the top of your list of places to see. The Cistern, also known as the Underground Cistern or Yerebatan Palace, is a huge underground chamber with a vault supported by 336 columns. Built in the 6th century AD, it served as an artificial water reservoir.
  • Valens Aqueduct. 250 kilometers - this is how long was the system of canals, aqueducts and cisterns in Constantinople. It began to be built in the second century AD by Emperor Hadrian.

These are just suggestions. Attractions Istanbul are much more. Everyone can find something for themselves.
